HOW TO GET TO THE MANOR…
Free parking for volunteers.
Regular bus routes #2, 16, 86
& 176 and more during peak hours.

VOLUNTEER TASKS…
- help serve in the dining rooms
- deliver mail to residents
- visit with residents
- assist the hairdresser
- care for the Manor’s canaries
- accompany residents to medical appointments
- help with recreational programs such as baking, crafts, horticulture groups, beanbags, bowling, outings, bingo, concerts, parties, etc…
- play a musical instrument for residents
- clerical and reception work
- circulate the tuck trolley or ice cream cart
- bring your child or pet in to visit
- help with food preparation
- The possibilities are endless!
WE COUNT ON VOLUNTEERS TO SUPPORT OUR STAFF IN CARING FOR THE RESIDENTS WHO CALL THE GRACE MANOR HOME
VOLUNTEER REQUIREMENTS…
- two references
- a minimum commitment of 6 months and/or 60 hours of volunteer work
- a two-step Mantoux test for Tuberculosis (provided at the Manor)
- a police check (at no cost to volunteers)
- a flu shot if volunteering during the flu season (Nov-April)
Why all of these requirements?
Because we need to ensure the safety and security of our residents.
